An Act modernizing property tax assessment for the blind.� .
��������������� Be
it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court
assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
����������� SECTION 1. Section 5 of Chapter 59 of the Massachusetts General Laws, as appearing in the 2006 Official Edition, is hereby amended by striking the words �five thousand dollars� in line 831 and inserting, in place thereof, the words �one thousand dollars�.
SECTION 2. Section 5 of Chapter 59 of the General Laws as so appearing is hereby further amended by striking the words �four hundred and thirty-seven dollars and fifty cents� in lines 832-833 and inserting, in place thereof, the words �one thousand dollars.�
SECTION 3. Section 5 of Chapter 59 of the General Laws as so appearing is hereby further amended by striking the words �four thousand dollars of this exemption or the sum of three hundred and fifty dollars� in lines 840-841 and inserting, in place thereof, the words �five thousand dollars of this exemption of the sum of five hundred dollars.�
SECTION 4. Section 5 of Chapter 59 of the General Laws as so appearing is hereby further amended by striking the words �one thousand dollars of exemption or eighty-seven dollars and fifty cents� in lines 842-843 and inserting, in place thereof, the words �five thousand dollars of exemption or five hundred dollars.�
SECTION 5. Section 5 of Chapter 59 of the General Laws as so appearing is hereby further amended by striking clause thirty-seventh A in its entirety.
