An Act Relative to MBTA Tort Reform.
Be
it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court
assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1. Section 38 of chapter 161A of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2006 Official Edition, is hereby amended by striking out the word “death.” and inserting in place thereof the following words:- death; provided further, that the authority shall not be liable for punitive damages or for any amount in excess of one hundred thousand dollars.
