An Act relative to the delivery of loss information to an insured
from commercial insurers.
��������������� Be
it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court
assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
SECTION 1. Section 163 of chapter 175 of the General Laws, as so appearing in the 2004 Official Edition, is hereby amended by adding the following paragraph:-
Upon the cancellation or non-renewal of a commercial insurance policy, or upon renewal of a commercial insurance policy where there is a significant increase in premium or change in coverage or conditions, the insurer shall upon the written request by the first-named insured or such insured�s authorized licensed insurance producer, mail or deliver loss information covering the period of time coverage has been provided by the insurer within ten days of such request.
