Summary

Create a new section of KRS Chapter 273 allowing for emergency medical service providers created under KRS Chapter 273 to have an elective membership or subscriber fee placed upon the property tax bill; establish procedures for placement; establish procedures for collection of tax and failure to pay tax; allow sheriffs a fee for collection of tax; set limits on the placement of tax in certain jurisdictions; establish procedures for opting out of payment of fees; require provision of services to all in the area of jurisdiction; prohibit fees for those users having paid fees; allow the billing of nonsubscribers for services used; require billing according to a fee schedule established by Kentucky Board of Emergency Medical Services; cap any fees to Medicare recipients at $150; amend KRS 67.327 to allow EMS service providers created under KRS Chapter 273 to have an elective membership or subscriber fee placed upon the property tax bill; amend KRS 95.018 to allow EMS service providers created under KRS Chapter 273 to have an elective membership or subscriber fee placed upon the property tax bill; APPROPRIATION.
