SENATE RESOLUTION


     MADAM PRESIDENT:

    I offer the following resolution and move its adoption:

    A SENATE RESOLUTION urging the legislative council to assign to an interim study committee the study of the feasibility of creating a judicial center in Indianapolis.

    Whereas, The current court housing in Indianapolis is in need of updating;

    Whereas, There are plans for the creation of a judicial center in Indianapolis which would house the Indiana Supreme Court, Court of Appeals, and Tax Court; and

    Whereas, It would be prudent to study whether the implementation of these plans would be feasible: Therefore,

Be it resolved by the Senate of the

General Assembly of the State of Indiana:


    SECTION 1. That the Indiana Senate urges the legislative council to assign to an interim study committee the study of the feasibility of creating a judicial center in Indianapolis.
    SECTION 2. The Secretary of the Senate is hereby directed to transmit a copy of this Resolution to the Legislative Council through the Executive Director of the Legislative Services Agency.
