    A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION congratulating Erik Bryant of Evansville F.J. Reitz High School on winning the 2009 Phil N. Eskew Mental Attitude Award for Class 4A Football.

    Whereas, The award is presented annually to a senior in each classification who best demonstrates excellence in mental attitude, scholarship, leadership and athletic ability;

    Whereas, Erik Bryant has been a four year member of the Student Council, National Honor Society, and Fellowship of Christian Athletes;

    and Whereas, Erik Bryant is an example of how hard work and determination leads to success. He is a role model for young athletes across Indiana. The citizens of this state recognize the value of competition and appreciate the hard work and dedication that it takes to be a champion, Therefore:

Be it resolved by the Senate     of the General Assembly

of the State of Indiana, the House of Representatives     concurring:


    SECTION 1. That the Indiana General Assembly congratulates Erik Bryant on winning the 2009 Phil N. Eskew Mental Attitude Award for Class 4A Football.


    
SECTION 2. The Secretary of the Senate is hereby directed to transmit a copy of this Resolution to Evansville F.J. Reitz High School Principal, Christine Settle; and Erik Bryant.
