RESOLUTION No. 4
A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION urging the Indiana Department
of Transportation to post signage along Interstate 70 recognizing
Wayne County Veterans' Memorial Park.
Whereas, The winds of freedom sweeping the globe today
rise from the principles of those countless Americans who
fought, and even died, to preserve this freedom;
Whereas, The Indiana General Assembly recognizes the
great sacrifices made by Indiana veterans in the service of
their state in time of war;
Whereas, In times of peace, these servicemen and
servicewomen may also be called away to places remote from
their families and loved ones;
Whereas, Indiana veterans bravely sacrificed life and limb
to ensure the sustainment of life, liberty, and happiness for
all Americans, as well as countless citizens of countries
around the world; and
Whereas, It is, therefore, fitting that the proper signage be
placed along Interstate 70 to recognize Wayne County
Veterans' Memorial Park: Therefore,
of the General Assembly of the State of Indiana,
the House of Representatives concurring:
SECTION 1. That the Indiana General Assembly wishes to recognize the Wayne County Veterans' Memorial Park with signage
along Interstate 70 and U.S. 40.
SECTION 2. That copies of this resolution be transmitted by the
Secretary of the Senate to the commissioner of the Indiana Department
of Transportation and the management of Wayne County Veterans'
Memorial Park.
