    A BILL FOR AN ACT to amend the Indiana Code concerning criminal law and procedure.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Indiana:

SOURCE: IC 35-50-6-8; (11)IN0567.1.1. -->     SECTION 1. IC 35-50-6-8, AS ADDED BY P.L.53-2005, SECTION 3, IS AMENDED TO READ AS FOLLOWS [EFFECTIVE JULY 1, 2011]: Sec. 8. (a) A person serving a sentence of life imprisonment without parole does not earn credit time under this chapter.
     (b) A person serving a sentence for a crime that involved the use of a firearm (as defined in IC 35-47-1-5) does not earn credit time under this chapter.
