Synopsis: Suspension of court costs for parking violation. Provides that a court may suspend court costs for which a person is liable due to a violation of the requirement that a vehicle parked on a roadway with an adjacent curb must be parked with the vehicle's right-hand wheels parallel with and within 12 inches of the right-hand curb.

Effective: July 1, 2013.

HOUSE BILL No. 1187



    A BILL FOR AN ACT to amend the Indiana Code concerning motor vehicles.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Indiana:

SOURCE: IC 9-21-16-9; (13)IN1187.1.1. -->     SECTION 1. IC 9-21-16-9 IS AMENDED TO READ AS FOLLOWS [EFFECTIVE JULY 1, 2013]: Sec. 9. (a) A person who violates this chapter commits a Class C infraction.
    (b) Notwithstanding IC 33-37-4-2, any court may suspend applicable court costs (including fees) for which a person is liable due to a traffic violation under section 7(a) of this chapter.
