A BILL FOR AN ACT to amend the Indiana Code concerning
military and veterans.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Indiana:

SECTION 1. IC 10-16-16-1, AS AMENDED BY P.L.151-2007,
SECTION 1, IS AMENDED TO READ AS FOLLOWS [EFFECTIVE
JULY 1, 2013]: Sec. 1. An individual who serves on:
(1) active duty; or
(2) reserve duty while on military orders;
in the armed forces of the United States or the Indiana National Guard is exempt from service on any jury in any court of Indiana.
