Bill Title: Amends the Pharmacy Practice Act. Provides that applicants for licensure as pharmacists shall also be required to complete an Accreditation Council on Pharmacy Education approved program and assessment related to Illinois pharmacy law developed and provided by the Illinois Pharmacists Association, or any other such program and assessment or test approved by the Department of Financial and Professional Regulation by rule. Provides that, if an applicant neglects, fails, or refuses to take an examination or fails to pass an examination for a license under the Act within 3 years after filing an application, the application shall expire (rather than the application being denied). Provides provisions concerning the expiration of licenses and license renewal. In a provision concerning the condition for the renewal of a license as a pharmacist, 2 hours of the 30 hours of continuing pharmacy education must be in the subject of pharmacy law. Makes other changes. Effective immediately.
