2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
3 | learn of the death of Max S. Davis of East Moline, who passed | ||||||
4 | away on November 27, 2016; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Max Davis was born in Ottumwa, Iowa to Harold and | ||||||
6 | Margaret Watts Davis on August 5, 1925; he served in the United | ||||||
7 | States Army during World War II and married Diane Holland in | ||||||
8 | Milton, Iowa on September 12, 1949; and
| ||||||
9 | WHEREAS, Max Davis retired from Deere & Company in 1986 | ||||||
10 | after 30 years of service; and
| ||||||
11 | WHEREAS, Max Davis is survived by his wife of 67 years, | ||||||
12 | Diane Davis; his children, Timothy (Katie) Holland-Davis, and | ||||||
13 | Anne (Mark) Resetich; his grandchildren, Katie (Blake) Reedy, | ||||||
14 | Joseph (Katie) Resetich, Jessica (Joshua) Gonzalez, Joshua | ||||||
15 | (Mikayla) Holland-Davis, Amber (Dusty) Gold, and Bryan Davis; | ||||||
16 | his eight great-grandchildren; and his brother, Merrill | ||||||
17 | (Carol) Davis; therefore, be it

18 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL | ||||||
19 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
20 | Max S. Davis, and extend our sincere condolences to his family, | ||||||
21 | friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further
