2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
3 | learn of the death of Clyde H. Degeeter of Moline, who passed | ||||||
4 | away on November 20, 2016; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Clyde Degeeter was born in Geneseo to August and | ||||||
6 | Nora Kuhl
Degeeter on February 26, 1929; he served in the | ||||||
7 | United States Air Force during the Korean War and married | ||||||
8 | Rosemarie Loete in Moline on November 28, 1953; and
| ||||||
9 | WHEREAS, Clyde Degeeter worked for John Deere Plow and | ||||||
10 | Planter Works for 32 years; and
| ||||||
11 | WHEREAS, Clyde Degeeter was a bicycle rider in his younger | ||||||
12 | years; he enjoyed watching NASCAR and
staying up-to-date with | ||||||
13 | the most current electronics and televisions; he liked
| ||||||
14 | tinkering with cars and gadgets, earning him the nickname | ||||||
15 | "Wrench" by
some of his friends; and
| ||||||
16 | WHEREAS, Clyde Degeeter was preceded in death by his | ||||||
17 | brother, Earl
Degeeter; his daughter, Kimberly; and an infant | ||||||
18 | daughter; and
| ||||||
19 | WHEREAS, Clyde Degeeter is survived by his wife, Rosemarie; | ||||||
20 | his daughter, Katherine (Maurice) Truster; and his grandson, |

2 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL | ||||||
3 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
4 | Clyde H. Degeeter, and extend our sincere condolences to his | ||||||
5 | family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | ||||||
6 | further
| ||||||
7 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
8 | presented to the family of Clyde Degeeter as an expression of | ||||||
9 | our deepest sympathy.
