| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
| 3 | learn of the death of Dorothy Best Vogel, who passed away on | ||||||
| 4 | August 20, 2016; and
| ||||||
| 5 | WHEREAS, Dorothy Vogel was a lifelong resident of the North | ||||||
| 6 | Chicago and Waukegan area; and
| ||||||
| 7 | WHEREAS, Dorothy Vogel was fondly known as the "WKRS Cake | ||||||
| 8 | Lady" and was best known for her involvement with WKRS Radio, | ||||||
| 9 | her many roses, and her outrageous Halloween decorations; and
| ||||||
| 10 | WHEREAS, Dorothy Vogel is preceded in death by her husband, | ||||||
| 11 | Donald Vogel; and
| ||||||
| 12 | WHEREAS, Dorothy Vogel is survived by her daughter, | ||||||
| 13 | Lorraine Beres Lanier; her grandchildren, Kimberley (Fred) | ||||||
| 14 | Rickert, Jeremy (Lisa) Beres, and Karen (Robert) Altom; 11 | ||||||
| 15 | great-grandchildren; her great-great-grandchildren; several | ||||||
| 16 | nieces and nephews; and her "special angel", Richard Vogel | ||||||
| 17 | Plucker; therefore, be it

| 18 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL | ||||||
| 19 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her | ||||||
| 20 | family and friends, mourn the passing of Dorothy Best Vogel; | ||||||
