2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
3 | learn of the death of Lois Marie Meehan of Bunker Hill, who | ||||||
4 | passed away on November 24, 2018; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Lois Meehan was born in New Berlin to Anton | ||||||
6 | Mullink and Kathryn (Sneeringer) Mullink of September 9, 1923; | ||||||
7 | she was the oldest of 12; she married Thomas David Meehan Jr. | ||||||
8 | on August 30, 1945; and
| ||||||
9 | WHEREAS, Lois Meehan was the owner and operator of Meehan's | ||||||
10 | Grocery Store; and
| ||||||
11 | WHEREAS, Lois Meehan was a former member of St. Mary's | ||||||
12 | Church, Bunker Hill; she was a member of St. Ann's Altar | ||||||
13 | Society and Our Lady Queen of Peace Church in Bethalto; and
| ||||||
14 | WHEREAS, Lois Meehan was preceded in death by her parents; | ||||||
15 | her husband, Thomas; her brothers, Harold Mullink, Leonard | ||||||
16 | Mullink, James Mullink, Thomas Mullink, and Frank Mullink; and | ||||||
17 | her sisters, Zella Rhoades and Betty Scott; and
| ||||||
18 | WHEREAS, Lois Meehan is survived by her children, Judy | ||||||
19 | (Barry) Steinberg, Nancy (Ron) Bray, Thomas (Karen) Meehan III, | ||||||
20 | Pat (Glenda) Meehan, and Mike (Crystal) Meehan; her 16 |

1 | grandchildren; her 19 great-grandchildren; her siblings, Gene | ||||||

6 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
7 | Lois Marie Meehan and extend our sincere condolences to her | ||||||
8 | family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it | ||||||
