2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
3 | learn of the death of Eugene H. Latz of Lindenhurst, who passed | ||||||
4 | away on August 22, 2016; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Eugene Latz was born in Waukegan to Frank and Anna | ||||||
6 | Latz on March 31, 1937; he was a member of the first graduating | ||||||
7 | class of North Chicago High School in 1955; he earned his | ||||||
8 | bachelor's degree and master's degree in education from | ||||||
9 | Northern Illinois University; and
| ||||||
10 | WHEREAS, Eugene Latz worked as a teacher, administrator, | ||||||
11 | and superintendent with Zion School District 6; and
| ||||||
12 | WHEREAS, Eugene Latz enjoyed spending time camping, | ||||||
13 | traveling, and completing projects around his home; he was a | ||||||
14 | volunteer for Vista West Hospital in Lindenhurst; and
| ||||||
15 | WHEREAS, Eugene Latz was preceded in death by his parents | ||||||
16 | and his brothers, Ronald and Clifford; and
| ||||||
17 | WHEREAS, Eugene Latz is survived by his wife of 56 years, | ||||||
18 | Cecile; his children, Denise (Greg) Guido, Keith Latz, and | ||||||
19 | Kathy (Ron) Goforth; his grandsons, David and Kristopher Latz, | ||||||
20 | Ben and Matthew Goforth, and Nicholas Guido; and his |

1 | great-grandson, Logan Latz; therefore, be it

2 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL | ||||||
3 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
4 | Eugene H. Latz, and extend our sincere condolences to his | ||||||
5 | family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | ||||||
6 | further

7 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
8 | presented to the family of Eugene Latz as an expression of our | ||||||
9 | deepest sympathy.
