| ||||||
2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
3 | learn of the death of Darrell Dean Beazly of Mansfield, who | ||||||
4 | passed away on July 22, 2016; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Darrell Beazly was born on September 12, 1937 in | ||||||
6 | Champaign; his parents were Percy Webb Beazly and Eleanor | ||||||
7 | Randel Beazly; he married Carol Elaine Trimble on January 1, | ||||||
8 | 1959 in Mansfield; and
| ||||||
9 | WHEREAS, Darrell Beazly taught food inspection for the | ||||||
10 | United States Army in the Meat and Dairy Hygiene School in | ||||||
11 | Chicago; after three years in the Army, he farmed near | ||||||
12 | Mansfield from 1963 until his passing; he and his family also | ||||||
13 | operated a Radio Shack franchise store in Monticello for 18 | ||||||
14 | years and a True Value Hardware since 1991; and
| ||||||
15 | WHEREAS, Darrell Beazly was a graduate of the University of | ||||||
16 | Illinois College of Agriculture; an early adopter of new | ||||||
17 | technologies in agriculture, he enjoyed a challenge and became | ||||||
18 | interested in computers in the late 1970s; he taught the first | ||||||
19 | agriculture computing classes at Parkland Community College in | ||||||
20 | the early 1980s; and

21 | WHEREAS, Darrell Beazly was a life member of the Mansfield |

| |||||||
1 | United Methodist Church; he was a 4-H leader with the Piatt | ||||||
2 | County 4-H and Agriculture Extension Councils for many years; | ||||||
3 | he was also active in the Monticello Rotary Club; and
| ||||||
4 | WHEREAS, Darrell Beazly enjoyed traveling in the United | ||||||
5 | States, Europe, Australia, New Zealand, and South America; and
| ||||||
6 | WHEREAS, Darrell Beazly was preceded in death by his | ||||||
7 | parents and his brothers, George Beazly and James Beazly; and
| ||||||
8 | WHEREAS, Darrell Beazly is survived by his wife, Carol; his | ||||||
9 | sons, Randel (Simone) Beazly and Bruce Beazly; his grandsons, | ||||||
10 | Geoffry and Simon; his sister, Mary Louis Koch; his | ||||||
11 | sisters-in-law, Faye Beazly and Evelyn Beazly; and many nieces | ||||||
12 | and nephews, including Timothy Whitney; therefore, be it
| ||||||
13 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL | ||||||
14 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his | ||||||
15 | family and friends, mourn the passing of Darrell Dean Beazly; | ||||||
16 | and be it further

17 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
18 | presented to the family of Darrell Beazly as an expression of | ||||||
19 | our sympathy.
