2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
3 | learn of the death of Edward D. Bohne of Alton, who passed away | ||||||
4 | on June 16, 2016; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Edward Bohne was born in Springfield to Edward H. | ||||||
6 | and Virginia (Strand) Bohne on May 27, 1956; he married | ||||||
7 | Christine M. Gillespie in Quincy on December 23, 1978; he | ||||||
8 | earned his law degree from Washington University in St. Louis, | ||||||
9 | Missouri; and
| ||||||
10 | WHEREAS, Edward Bohne retired in 1999 as a Major with the | ||||||
11 | United States Army Reserve after over 25 years of service; and
| ||||||
12 | WHEREAS, Edward Bohne was a member of St. Mary's Catholic | ||||||
13 | Church in Alton and the United States Armor Association | ||||||
14 | Honorable Order of St. George; he was also a member of the U.S. | ||||||
15 | Army Brotherhood of Tankers and the Single Action Shooting | ||||||
16 | Society; and

17 | WHEREAS, Edward Bohne was preceded in death by his parents; | ||||||
18 | and
| ||||||
19 | WHEREAS, Edward Bohne is survived by his wife, Christine; | ||||||
20 | his daughters, Amanda M. Bohne and Rebecca A. Kessler and her |

| |||||||
1 | husband, Daniel; and his granddaughter, Margaret Kathryn | ||||||
2 | Kessler; therefore, be it
| ||||||
3 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL | ||||||
4 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
5 | Edward D. Bohne, and extend our sincere condolences to his | ||||||
6 | family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | ||||||
7 | further
| ||||||
8 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
9 | presented to the family of Edward Bohne as an expression of our | ||||||
10 | deepest sympathy.
