| ||||||
2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
3 | learn of the death of Darnell Lee Langston, who passed away on | ||||||
4 | June 16, 2016; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Darnell Langston was born in Chicago on March 29, | ||||||
6 | 1982; he attended McKinley Junior High School and Thornwood | ||||||
7 | High School in South Holland, where he excelled in wrestling | ||||||
8 | and football; he earned three varsity letters for wrestling and | ||||||
9 | two for football and was All-Conference in both sports; he also | ||||||
10 | attended Northern Illinois University; and
| ||||||
11 | WHEREAS, Darnell Langston recently worked for FedEx; and
| ||||||
12 | WHEREAS, Darnell Langston was affectionately known as "Big | ||||||
13 | Teddy Bear" by his mother and as "Superman" by his friends; he | ||||||
14 | was a member of Freedom Church Ministries; and
| ||||||
15 | WHEREAS, Darnell Langston is survived by his loving mother, | ||||||
16 | Nina Graham; his brothers, Donald, Jomyron, and Jeron; and a | ||||||
17 | host of relatives and friends; therefore, be it
| ||||||
18 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL | ||||||
19 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
20 | Darnell Lee Langston, and extend our sincere condolences to his |
