SENATE RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
learn of the death of Russell H. LeBeau Sr. of Zion, who passed
away on August 2, 2018; and
WHEREAS, Russell LeBeau was born in Massachusetts to
Eleanor and Russell Joseph LeBeau on June 5, 1940; he married
Veronica "Ronney" Suwe on August 23, 1969; and
WHEREAS, Russell LeBeau was a Civil Service Instructor at
the Navy Electronics School at Great Lakes Naval Base; he
served in the United States Air Force, enlisting in the Air
Force National Guard for 20 years, and five years in the Army
National Guard; and
WHEREAS, Russell LeBeau was a member of Our Lady of
Humility Church, The Knights of Columbus, and the American
Legion; he participated in Street Scenes at Carmel High School
for 35 years; he was a past member of several choruses and
choirs, including the Gerry Traxler Chorus and Barbershop
Choruses; he was also a member of the Sportscar Club and was
active for many years in the Boy Scouts; and
WHEREAS, Russell LeBeau was preceded in death by his
parents and his sister, Patricia Langer McDonough; and

WHEREAS, Russell LeBeau is survived by his wife of 49
years, Veronica; his daughters, Rachelle Manieri, Renee
(Brian) LeBeau Worwa, Roxanne (Dan) Otterbacher, Rita LeBeau,
and Diana Fischbach; his son, Russell (Diane) H. LeBeau Jr.;
his brother, Ernest "Sonny" LeBeau; his grandchildren, Lukas,
Matthias, Nanet, and Katie Manieri, Tyler and Veronica Worwa,
Jerred and Nicolette Otterbacher, Courtney Tekampe, Trey,
Hunter, and Chase LeBeau, Jacy Wilson, Dalila LeBeau, and T.J.
Quill; numerous nieces and nephews; many great-nieces and
great-nephews; and countless friends; therefore, be it
RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL
ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
Russell H. LeBeau Sr., and extend our sincere condolences to
his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
further
RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
presented to the family of Russell LeBeau as an expression of
our deepest sympathy.
