2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
3 | learn of the death of Robert "Bob" F. Fuchs of Woodstock, who | ||||||
4 | passed away on July 6, 2018; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Bob Fuchs was born to Albert J. and Magdalen | ||||||
6 | (George) Fuchs on June 15, 1928; he was raised in Woodstock, | ||||||
7 | where he met and later married Eileen R. Demuth on September | ||||||
8 | 16, 1950; and
| ||||||
9 | WHEREAS, Bob Fuchs served in the United States Army from | ||||||
10 | November 10, 1950 until October 28, 1952, during the Korean | ||||||
11 | War; after returning home, he worked as a painter at Woodstock | ||||||
12 | Die Casting for many years; and
| ||||||
13 | WHEREAS, Bob Fuchs loved to garden and was a "Master | ||||||
14 | Gardener" before the term was used; he grew enough food to feed | ||||||
15 | his family all winter and also shared his bounty with friends | ||||||
16 | and neighbors; in his later years, he was known as a "man about | ||||||
17 | town" because on almost any given day, he could be spotted at | ||||||
18 | his favorite local restaurant; and

19 | WHEREAS, Bob Fuchs was preceded in death by his wife, | ||||||
20 | Eileen; his parents; his sister, Barbara K. Kopsell; and his | ||||||
21 | brother, Thomas G. Fuchs; and

1 | WHEREAS, Bob Fuchs is survived by his children, Shirley, | ||||||
2 | Robert J., and Lynda; his grandchildren, David Blue, Elise | ||||||
3 | Harland, Jordan Fuchs, and Jace Fuchs; his | ||||||
4 | great-granddaughter, Mia Harland; his sister, Mary Beth Fuchs; | ||||||
5 | and his many nieces and nephews; therefore, be it

6 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL | ||||||
7 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
8 | Robert "Bob" F. Fuchs and extend our sincere condolences to his | ||||||
9 | family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | ||||||
10 | further

11 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
12 | presented to the family of Bob Fuchs as an expression of our | ||||||
13 | deepest sympathy.
