| ||||||
| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
| 3 | learn of the death of Thomas "Tom" Spanos Jr. of McHenry, who | ||||||
| 4 | passed away on March 16, 2018; and
| ||||||
| 5 | WHEREAS, Tom Spanos was born to Thomas and Adeline Spanos | ||||||
| 6 | on May 3, 1948; he married Alice Kopecky on July 8, 1967; and
| ||||||
| 7 | WHEREAS, Tom Spanos was involved in Marriage Encounter and | ||||||
| 8 | worked with engaged couples at St. Mary's Church; and
| ||||||
| 9 | WHEREAS, Tom Spanos enjoyed working with his hands and | ||||||
| 10 | fishing in his free time; he loved being a part of his | ||||||
| 11 | grandchildren's lives and spending time with his family; and
| ||||||
| 12 | WHEREAS, Tom Spanos was preceded in death by his parents | ||||||
| 13 | and his sister, Patricia Cloninger; and
| ||||||
| 14 | WHEREAS, Tom Spanos is survived by his wife of 50 years, | ||||||
| 15 | Alice; his children, Thomas Spanos and Cynthia Reynolds; and | ||||||
| 16 | his grandchildren, Preston and Lars Reynolds; therefore, be it
| ||||||
| 17 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL | ||||||
| 18 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
| 19 | Thomas Spanos Jr., and extend our sincere condolences to his | ||||||

| 1 | family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | ||||||
| 2 | further

| 3 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
