2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
3 | learn of the death of James R. "Jim" Bunting of Dwight, who | ||||||
4 | passed away on April 22, 2018; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Jim Bunting was born in Union Township to Earl E. | ||||||
6 | and Mildred (Prickett) Bunting on May 28, 1924; he married | ||||||
7 | Betty Swartz in Emington on September 16, 1945; and
| ||||||
8 | WHEREAS, Jim Bunting worked for CAT for over 20 years and | ||||||
9 | spent many years working the family farm; and
| ||||||
10 | WHEREAS, Jim Bunting was a member of the Emington American | ||||||
11 | Legion, the Dwight VFW, the Elks Lodge, the Independent Order | ||||||
12 | of Odd Fellows, the Emington Congregational United Church of | ||||||
13 | Christ, and CAT Retirees; and
| ||||||
14 | WHEREAS, Jim Bunting was preceded in death by his wife of | ||||||
15 | 70 years, Betty; his parents; and his sister, Mary Young; and
| ||||||
16 | WHEREAS, Jim Bunting is survived by his children, Lee | ||||||
17 | (Marie) Bunting, Elaine (Jerry) Roberts, Donald (Marcia) | ||||||
18 | Bunting, Art (Kathy) Bunting, Barb (David) Thompson, and Linda | ||||||
19 | (Tom) Brady; 17 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren; | ||||||

2 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
3 | James R. "Jim" Bunting, and extend our sincere condolences to | ||||||
4 | his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | ||||||
5 | further

6 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
