2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
3 | learn of the death of William "Bill" Ferwerda of Harvard, who | ||||||
4 | passed away on September 1, 2014; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, William Ferwerda was a member of the United States | ||||||
6 | Navy during the Korean War; after being honorably discharged | ||||||
7 | from the Navy, he married Joanne Crone on January 27, 1962 in | ||||||
8 | Harvard; and
| ||||||
9 | WHEREAS, William Ferwerda was employed as a carpenter and | ||||||
10 | brick layer; and
| ||||||
11 | WHEREAS, William Ferwerda was preceded in death by his | ||||||
12 | parents, John and Helen Ferwerda; a brother, Garrett Ferwerda; | ||||||
13 | and a niece, Judy; and
| ||||||
14 | WHEREAS, William Ferwerda is survived by his beloved wife | ||||||
15 | of 52 years, Joanne; a brother, Peter Ferwerda; a niece, Leslie | ||||||
16 | (Don) Adkins; a sister-in-law, Pauline (Gerry) Willoughby; a | ||||||
17 | brother-in-law, William (Susan) Crone; 15 nieces and nephews, | ||||||
