| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
| 3 | learn of the death of William E. Richey of Moline, who passed | ||||||
| 4 | away on September 10, 2020; and
| ||||||
| 5 | WHEREAS, Gene Richey was born to Lloyd and Ruby (Groves) | ||||||
| 6 | Richey in Manassas, Virginia on November 24, 1932; he was a | ||||||
| 7 | U.S. Air Force veteran who served during the Korean War; he | ||||||
| 8 | married Nancy Houzenga in Silver City, New Mexico on August 16, | ||||||
| 9 | 1954; and
| ||||||
| 10 | WHEREAS, Gene Richey retired as Director of Engineering at | ||||||
| 11 | Windsor Park Manor in Carol Stream; and
| ||||||
| 12 | WHEREAS, Gene Richey enjoyed photography, playing games on | ||||||
| 13 | the computer, and his cat; and
| ||||||
| 14 | WHEREAS, Gene Richey was preceded in death by his parents, | ||||||
| 15 | and his wife; and
| ||||||
| 16 | WHEREAS, Gene Richey is survived by his children, Laurel | ||||||
| 17 | Richey, Rebecca (Gary) Vinar, and Randell (Debby) Richey, and | ||||||
| 18 | his grandchildren, William (Christine) Richey and Jaimie | ||||||
| 19 | (Thomas) Caudill; therefore, be it
| ||||||

| 1 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL | ||||||
| 2 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of

| 3 | William E. "Gene" Richey and extend our sincere
condolences to | ||||||
| 4 | his family, friends, and all who knew and loved
him; and be it | ||||||

| 6 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
