| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
| 3 | learn of the death of Richard "Rich" L. Gravitt of Coal Valley, | ||||||
| 4 | who passed away on September 16, 2020; and
| ||||||
| 5 | WHEREAS, Rich Gravitt was born to Arthur and Marie (Hinkel) | ||||||
| 6 | Gravitt in Rock Island on September 2, 1937; he served in the | ||||||
| 7 | U.S. Army; he married Patricia Houghtaling on February 27, | ||||||
| 8 | 1960; and
| ||||||
| 9 | WHEREAS, Rich Gravitt worked at John Deere until his | ||||||
| 10 | retirement on May 1, 1996; and
| ||||||
| 11 | WHEREAS, Rich Gravitt enjoyed classic cars and trucks; he | ||||||
| 12 | loved his family, and they were everything to him; and
| ||||||
| 13 | WHEREAS, Rich Gravitt is survived by his wife; his | ||||||
| 14 | children, Jeff (Jan) Gravitt, Cathy Gravitt, and James | ||||||
| 15 | (Candice) Gravitt; his grandchildren, Krystle, Michael, Grant, | ||||||
| 16 | Hailey, and Greyson; his great-grandchildren, Olivia, Dominic, | ||||||
| 17 | Lily, and Ryan; and his sisters, Marge (Jerry) Maddox, Sandy | ||||||
| 18 | (Donny) Metzner, and Jan (Dick) Seibert; therefore, be it
| ||||||
| 19 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL | ||||||
| 20 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
