SENATE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of James Phillip "Jim" Schultz of Zion, who
4passed away on June 1, 2014; and
5 WHEREAS, Jim Schultz was born on February 14, 1949 and grew
6up in North Chicago; he attended Holy Rosary Grade School,
7North Chicago High School, and the College of Lake County; he
8served in the United States Army from 1970 to 1972; and
9 WHEREAS, Jim Schultz was a dedicated Support Services
10employee for Lake County for 19 years; and
11 WHEREAS, Jim Schultz was an avid music lover, and enjoyed
12caring for his pets Chloe, Isabel, and Abby; and
13 WHEREAS, Jim Schultz was preceded in death by his parents,
14Andrew and Mary Schultz, and by his sisters, Pearl Scarbalis
15and Dorothy Smith; and
16 WHEREAS, Jim Schultz is survived by his fiancee, Connie
17Horner; sister, Elizabeth (Walter) Sczygielski;
18brother-in-law, Richard Smith; and many nieces and nephews;
19therefore, be it

1 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL
2ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
3James Phillip "Jim" Schultz, and extend our sincere condolences
4to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be
5it further
6 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
7presented to the family of Jim Schultz as an expression of our
8deepest sympathy.
