| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
| 3 | learn of the death of Billy L. Butterfield of Springfield, who | ||||||
| 4 | passed away on August 24, 2020; and
| ||||||
| 5 | WHEREAS, Billy Butterfield was born in Owaneco to Harry and | ||||||
| 6 | Loeva (Large) Butterfield on April 6, 1931; he married Georgia | ||||||
| 7 | E. Rensman on October 11, 1958; he served in the U.S. Air Force | ||||||
| 8 | during the Korean War; he was a resident of the Springfield | ||||||
| 9 | area for over 60 years; and
| ||||||
| 10 | WHEREAS, Billy Butterfield was a member of Salisbury | ||||||
| 11 | Christian Church; he volunteered at Lewis Memorial Christian | ||||||
| 12 | Village for many years; he was an avid St. Louis Cardinals | ||||||
| 13 | baseball fan and an Illini basketball fan; and
| ||||||
| 14 | WHEREAS, Billy Butterfield was preceded in death by his | ||||||
| 15 | parents, four siblings, and two great-grandchildren; and
| ||||||
| 16 | WHEREAS, Billy Butterfield is survived by his wife, | ||||||
| 17 | Georgia; his daughters, Diane (John D.) Wyatt and Karen (Jeff) | ||||||
| 18 | Bersch; his 11 grandchildren; his five great-grandchildren; | ||||||
| 19 | his brother, Charles (Jackie) Butterfield; and his several | ||||||
| 20 | nieces, nephews, and cousins; therefore, be it

| 1 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL | ||||||
| 2 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
| 3 | Billy L. Butterfield and extend our sincere condolences to his | ||||||
| 4 | family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | ||||||
| 5 | further

| 6 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
