| ||||||
| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
| 3 | learn of the death of Gerald W. Maddox of Moline, who passed | ||||||
| 4 | away on July 8, 2020; and
| ||||||
| 5 | WHEREAS, Gerald Maddox was born in Davenport, Iowa to | ||||||
| 6 | George Warren and Ruth H. (Turner) Maddox on September 24, | ||||||
| 7 | 1940; he graduated from Moline High School and Black Hawk | ||||||
| 8 | College and served in the U.S. Air Force; and
| ||||||
| 9 | WHEREAS, Gerald Maddox retired from Deere and Co. in 1995; | ||||||
| 10 | and
| ||||||
| 11 | WHEREAS, Gerald Maddox enjoyed billiards, bowling, golf, | ||||||
| 12 | tennis, riding motorcycles, hunting, and traveling; and
| ||||||
| 13 | WHEREAS, Gerald Maddox was preceded in death by his | ||||||
| 14 | parents; and
| ||||||
| 15 | WHEREAS, Gerald Maddox is survived by his daughter, Shanon | ||||||
| 16 | Maddox; his son, Gerek; his granddaughter, Alyssa H. Maddox; | ||||||
| 17 | and numerous cousins, including Nancy Seelow; therefore, be it
| ||||||
| 18 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL | ||||||
| 19 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||

| 1 | Gerald W. Maddox and extend our sincere condolences to his | ||||||
| 2 | family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | ||||||
| 3 | further
