| ||||||
2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
3 | learn of the death of Rudolf V. Kraus, who passed away on June | ||||||
4 | 28, 2020; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Rudolf Kraus was born on August 31, 1936 and was a | ||||||
6 | native New Yorker; he served in the U.S. Air Force and | ||||||
7 | graduated from Monmouth University in New Jersey; and
| ||||||
8 | WHEREAS, Rudolf Kraus worked as a technician at Bell | ||||||
9 | Laboratories; he later transitioned to electronics instruction | ||||||
10 | at AIT and ITT; and
| ||||||
11 | WHEREAS, Rudolf Kraus was an avid collector and amassed | ||||||
12 | thousands of books, records, videotapes, and DVDs; he loved to | ||||||
13 | cook and paint; he was a strong supporter of the Boy Scouts of | ||||||
14 | America and served as an adult leader to many troops over the | ||||||
15 | years, including troops 118, 222, 138, 53, and 140; he will be | ||||||
16 | remembered as someone who worked hard, did good for others, and | ||||||
17 | loved with all his heart, most especially his family; and
| ||||||
18 | WHEREAS, Rudolf Kraus is survived by his wife of 53 years, | ||||||
19 | Terry; his son, Rudolf (Hilary); his daughter, Tricia Goodman | ||||||
20 | (Chris); and his grandchildren, Thomas and Tessa; therefore, be | ||||||
21 | it

1 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL | ||||||
2 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
3 | Rudolf V. Kraus and extend our sincere condolences to his | ||||||
4 | family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | ||||||
5 | further
| ||||||
6 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
7 | presented to the family of Rudolf Kraus as an expression of our | ||||||
8 | deepest sympathy.
