2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened | ||||||
3 | to learn of the death of Ivey Jo Weaver of Bloomington, who | ||||||
4 | passed away on September 20, 2022; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Ivey Weaver was born to Edd and Altha Mae Land in | ||||||
6 | Kerens, Texas on August 30, 1931; she graduated from Hillcrest | ||||||
7 | School of Nursing; she married Ed Weaver on September 8, 1950; | ||||||
8 | and
| ||||||
9 | WHEREAS, Ivey Weaver worked as a real estate sales agent | ||||||
10 | in Bloomington for decades; and
| ||||||
11 | WHEREAS, Ivey Weaver started a local chapter of the Red | ||||||
12 | Hat Society, which later became the Ivey Club; and
| ||||||
13 | WHEREAS, Ivey Weaver was a life master in bridge; she and | ||||||
14 | her husband enjoyed traveling abroad; and
| ||||||
15 | WHEREAS, Ivey Weaver was affectionately called "Gigi" by | ||||||
16 | her great-grandchildren; and
| ||||||
17 | WHEREAS, Ivey Weaver is survived by her children, David | ||||||
18 | (Trish) Weaver and Mark (Cindy) Weaver; her grandchildren, | ||||||
19 | Wendi Weaver, Braxton (Katie) Weaver, Tyler (Erin) Weaver, and |

1 | Talia (Mike) Laquitara; and her eight great-grandchildren; | ||||||
2 | therefore, be it

3 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL | ||||||
4 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of

5 | Ivey Jo Weaver and extend our sincere
condolences to her | ||||||
6 | family, friends, and all who knew and loved
her; and be it | ||||||
