2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened | ||||||
3 | to learn of the death of Claude P. Sales of Orion, who passed | ||||||
4 | away on June 9, 2022; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Claude Sales was born to Paul and Pansy "Pearl" | ||||||
6 | (Matherly) Sales in Centerville, Iowa on May 1, 1934; he | ||||||
7 | served in the U.S. Army from 1953 to 1956; he married Marie | ||||||
8 | Gerard in Ottumwa, Iowa on April 26, 1958; and
| ||||||
9 | WHEREAS, Claude Sales worked as a machinist for Case IH in | ||||||
10 | East Moline for 35 years, retiring on January 1, 1992; and
| ||||||
11 | WHEREAS, Claude Sales enjoyed camping, fishing, gardening, | ||||||
12 | and the outdoors; he loved spending time with his | ||||||
13 | grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and
| ||||||
14 | WHEREAS, Claude Sales was preceded in death by his parents | ||||||
15 | and his three brothers; and
| ||||||
16 | WHEREAS, Claude Sales is survived by his wife; his | ||||||
17 | daughters, Claudia (Rusty) Olson, Lisa Sales-Timmer, and Tammy | ||||||
18 | (David) Norberg; his nine grandchildren; his 10 | ||||||
19 | great-grandchildren; his sister, Pauline Wignall; and his | ||||||
20 | brothers, Ira Lee Sales, Larry (Donna) Sales, Billy (Judy) |

2 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL | ||||||
3 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
4 | Claude P. Sales and extend our sincere condolences to his | ||||||
5 | family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | ||||||
6 | further

7 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
8 | presented to the family of Claude Sales as an expression of our | ||||||
9 | deepest sympathy.
