2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened | ||||||
3 | to learn of the death of Russell A. King of Moline, who passed | ||||||
4 | away on September 5, 2022; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Russell King was born to Max and Marjorie | ||||||
6 | (Whisler) King in Moline on March 16, 1947; he married Laurie | ||||||
7 | Norton in Cordova on July 17, 1971, and she preceded him in | ||||||
8 | death on April 4, 2019; and
| ||||||
9 | WHEREAS, Russell King served in the U.S. Army during the | ||||||
10 | Vietnam Era; he was a disabled veteran and very proud of his | ||||||
11 | service; and
| ||||||
12 | WHEREAS, Russell King enjoyed gardening and feeding the | ||||||
13 | squirrels and birds; he loved walking his dog Toby several | ||||||
14 | miles daily; and
| ||||||
15 | WHEREAS, Russell King was preceded in death by his | ||||||
16 | parents; his wife; his brother and sister-in-law, Stanley | ||||||
17 | (Roxanne) King; his nephew, Eric King; his niece, Lizzy | ||||||
18 | Warner; and his brother-in-law, Stephen Warner; and
| ||||||
19 | WHEREAS, Russell King is survived by his brother, David | ||||||
20 | (Pam) King; his nieces and nephews, Nicholas King, Katie |

1 | (Howard) Davis, Jenifer King, and Andrew Warner; his | ||||||
2 | great-nieces and great-nephews, Braedon King, Howard Davis | ||||||
3 | III, and Kingslee Davis; and his sister-in-law, Kelly Warner; | ||||||

5 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL | ||||||
6 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
7 | Russell A. King and extend our sincere condolences to his | ||||||
8 | family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | ||||||
9 | further

10 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
