| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened | ||||||
| 3 | to learn of the death of Alfred H. "Ted" Holloway of Rock | ||||||
| 4 | Island, who passed away on July 18, 2024; and
| ||||||
| 5 | WHEREAS, Ted Holloway was born in Galesburg to Wilbur | ||||||
| 6 | Townsend Holloway and Mildred (Hughs) Holloway on September | ||||||
| 7 | 16, 1933; he served with the U.S. Army during the Korean War; | ||||||
| 8 | he married Dian (Thornburg) Miller in Davenport, Iowa on March | ||||||
| 9 | 3, 1972; and
| ||||||
| 10 | WHEREAS, Ted Holloway worked for more than 40 years as a | ||||||
| 11 | bricklayer and retired on September 30, 1994 from Schott & | ||||||
| 12 | Welch Masonry; and
| ||||||
| 13 | WHEREAS, Ted Holloway was a member of BAC Local 8 of | ||||||
| 14 | Illinois; and
| ||||||
| 15 | WHEREAS, Ted Holloway is survived by his wife, Dian; his | ||||||
| 16 | daughter, Laura (Marty) McManus; his grandchildren, Daniel | ||||||
| 17 | Pierson (Lauren), Sydney (Jeff) Gauley, and Kyle McManus | ||||||
| 18 | (Katie); his great-grandchildren, Pepper Pierson, Jack | ||||||
| 19 | Pierson, Kane Bush, Rhys Gauley, and Harlow Gauley; numerous | ||||||
| 20 | nieces, nephews and cousins; and his beloved dog, "BJ"; | ||||||
