| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
| 3 | learn of the death of Robert L. Myers of East Moline, who | ||||||
| 4 | passed away on November 5, 2017; and
| ||||||
| 5 | WHEREAS, Robert Myers was born in Galesburg to Charles L. | ||||||
| 6 | and Helen G. Smith Myers on October 12, 1947; he married | ||||||
| 7 | Beverly Clark in Monmouth on October 22, 1967; and
| ||||||
| 8 | WHEREAS, Robert Myers was a staff sergeant in the United | ||||||
| 9 | States Army for over 14 years; and
| ||||||
| 10 | WHEREAS, Robert Myers enjoyed fishing, hunting, and making | ||||||
| 11 | people laugh; he loved spending time with his grandchildren; | ||||||
| 12 | and
| ||||||
| 13 | WHEREAS, Robert Myers was preceded in death by his parents; | ||||||
| 14 | and
| ||||||
| 15 | WHEREAS, Robert Myers is survived by his wife, Beverly; his | ||||||
| 16 | son, Robert Charles Myers; his daughter, Marla Mesa; his | ||||||
| 17 | grandchildren, Joel Mesa, Justin Mesa, and Conner Myers; his | ||||||
| 18 | great-granddaughters, Aliana Mesa and Skyla Mesa; his brother, | ||||||
| 19 | William (Yung) Myers; and his sisters, Jane Horton and Betty | ||||||
| 20 | Watson; therefore, be it

| 2 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
| 3 | Robert L. Myers and extend our sincere condolences to his | ||||||
| 4 | family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | ||||||
| 5 | further

| 6 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
