2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened | ||||||
3 | to learn of the death of William P. "Bill" Sackett Jr. of | ||||||
4 | Moline, who passed away on April 26, 2022; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Bill Sackett was born to William and Lillian | ||||||
6 | (Payton) Sackett in Rock Island on June 18, 1932; he served in | ||||||
7 | the U.S. Army during the Korean War; and
| ||||||
8 | WHEREAS, Bill Sackett retired from the Laborers' Local | ||||||
9 | Union 309, where he worked in construction for many years; and
| ||||||
10 | WHEREAS, Bill Sackett was a member of the Eureka Masonic | ||||||
11 | Lodge in Milan for 30 years; and
| ||||||
12 | WHEREAS, Bill Sackett enjoyed watching tennis, golf, and | ||||||
13 | college football; his greatest joy in life was spending time | ||||||
14 | with his two grandchildren; and
| ||||||
15 | WHEREAS, Bill Sackett was preceded in death by his | ||||||
16 | parents; his son, Mark Sackett; and his siblings, Georgia | ||||||
17 | Cook, Darold "Bud" Sackett, Clifford Sackett, and Robert "Bob" | ||||||
18 | Sackett; and

19 | WHEREAS, Bill Sackett is survived by his daughters, Lisa |

1 | (Keith) Jordan, Taylor Ridge, and Amy (Adam) Warren; his | ||||||
2 | grandchildren, Emily and Blake; and his several nieces and | ||||||
3 | nephews; therefore, be it

4 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL | ||||||
5 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
