SENATE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Leonard H. Pawlowski of Libertyville, who
4passed away on November 3, 2012; and
5 WHEREAS, Leonard Pawlowski was born on August 13, 1926, in
6Milwaukee, Wisconsin; he had been a resident of Libertyville
7and Waukegan for almost 60 years; and
8 WHEREAS, Leonard Pawlowski was a veteran of World War II
9and served on the USS Vastal; and
10 WHEREAS, Leonard Pawlowski had received his bachelor's
11degree in business administration from Marquette University in
121951; and
13 WHEREAS, Leonard Pawlowski retired from USF&G, where he
14served as an insurance auditor for 40 years; and
15 WHEREAS, Leonard Pawlowski was a member of the Waukegan
16Knights of Columbus and served as an usher for St. Joseph
17Catholic Church in Libertyville; he was also a past district
18deputy of the northern district of Illinois for the Elks Club
19and was a member of Waukegan Elks Club 702; and

1 WHEREAS, Leonard Pawlowski enjoyed vacationing with his
2family on the Outer Banks, reading, watching the Green Bay
3Packers, and estate sales; and
4 WHEREAS, Leonard Pawlowski is survived by his beloved wife
5of 57 years, Audrey, and his loving children, Mark, Karen (Pat)
6Morris, John (Mary), and Jim (Christine); he was also the proud
7grandfather of Margaret, Drew, Brian, Joe, Jessica, Kristen,
8Matthew, Hannah, and the late Scott and the dear brother of the
9late Wanda; therefore, be it
10 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL
11ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with
12his family and friends, the passing of Leonard H. Pawlowski;
13and be it further
14 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
15presented to the family of Leonard Pawlowski as an expression
16of our sympathy.
