SENATE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of George W. Rose, Jr. of Woodstock, who
4passed away on February 19, 2014; and
5 WHEREAS, George Rose, Jr. was born on February 14, 1927 in
6Clear Lake, Iowa; his parents were George and Mary (nee Holmes)
7Rose; and
8 WHEREAS, George Rose, Jr. graduated from Mason City High
9School in 1947; and
10 WHEREAS, George Rose, Jr. was a resident of Woodstock for
11over 50 years; he served the McHenry County area for years as a
12technician for the Dairy Herd Improvement Association; and
13 WHEREAS, George Rose, Jr. was preceded in death by his
14parents; and
15 WHEREAS, George Rose, Jr. is survived by his children,
16Cynthia Rose Lubecke, Dennis Lubecke, Elizabeth Rose Kamp, Dan
17Kamp, Janaan Rose, and Melodee Singh; his grandchildren,
18Clinton Selzer and Serena Selzer (Robert) Montgomery; his
19great-grandchildren, RJ Montgomery and Sierra Rose Montgomery;
20and his cousins, Maxine Eldridge, Carolyn Albers, and Lois

2 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL
3ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his
4family and friends, mourn the passing of George W. Rose, Jr.;
5and be it further
6 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
7presented to the family of George Rose, Jr. as an expression of
8our sympathy.
