2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened | ||||||
3 | to learn of the death of Master Sergeant Joseph D. "Joe" | ||||||
4 | Rebholz, U.S. Army (Ret) of Hampton, who passed away on March | ||||||
5 | 30, 2022; and
| ||||||
6 | WHEREAS, Joe Rebholz was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania | ||||||
7 | on August 31, 1945; he married Tonnie Jo (Smith) Nevins in | ||||||
8 | Moline on December 31, 1983, and she preceded him in death on | ||||||
9 | September 18, 2018; and
| ||||||
10 | WHEREAS, Joe Rebholz was drafted into the U.S. Army on | ||||||
11 | October 23, 1967; he served his country for 20 years, retiring | ||||||
12 | as Master Sergeant; and
| ||||||
13 | WHEREAS, Joe Rebholz enjoyed finding deals, shopping for | ||||||
14 | antiques, and going to auctions; he also loved cooking and | ||||||
15 | gardening; and

16 | WHEREAS, Joe Rebholz was preceded in death by his parents; | ||||||
17 | his brother; and his wife of 35 years, Tonnie Jo Rebholz; and
| ||||||
18 | WHEREAS, Joe Rebholz is survived by his sister, Mari Jean | ||||||
19 | Arscot; his friends, Jesse and Yesenia Schroeder, and their | ||||||
20 | children, Johnathan, Matthew, and Christopher; his friends, |

2 | friend, Michael Cornett; therefore, be it

3 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL | ||||||
4 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
5 | Master Sergeant Joseph D. "Joe" Rebholz, U.S. Army (Ret) and | ||||||
6 | extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all | ||||||
7 | who knew and loved him; and be it further
