SENATE RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
learn of the death of Raymond G. Chisholm of Cary, who passed
away on February 4, 2014; and
WHEREAS, Raymond Chisholm was born on February 16, 1941 in
Pampa, Texas to Raymond M. "Jack" and Minerva Chisholm; he
served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War; after
his service, he attended Texas Tech University and the
University of Georgia, where he received his master's degree;
and
WHEREAS, Raymond Chisholm worked for the Arlington Heights
Police Department for 20 years; he owned and operated the
Colonel in Ringwood for a number of years and served on the
Cary Village Board for 8 years; he was active in the McHenry
County Republican Party; and
WHEREAS, Raymond Chisholm enjoyed traveling, especially to
Branson, Missouri and Hawaii; he had a special love of dogs and
supported animal rescue services in the area; he was a member
of Cary AmVets; and
WHEREAS, Raymond Chisholm was preceded in death by his
parents; and

WHEREAS, Raymond Chisholm is survived by his longtime
companion, Terri Anderson, and his special buddy, Colton Turck;
therefore, be it
RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL
ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
Raymond Chisholm, and extend our sincere condolences to his
family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
further
RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
presented to the family of Raymond Chisholm as an expression of
our deepest sympathy.
