2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
3 | learn of the death of Edward F. Koester of Marengo, who passed | ||||||
4 | away on August 20, 2017; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Edward Koester was born in Chicago to Irvin and | ||||||
6 | Magdalen (Rosner) Koester on October 25, 1932; and
| ||||||
7 | WHEREAS, Edward Koester was a veteran of the United States | ||||||
8 | Army; he worked as a Sears repairman for 35 years; and
| ||||||
9 | WHEREAS, Edward Koester enjoyed gardening and spending | ||||||
10 | time with his family; he was friendly to everyone he met; and
| ||||||
11 | WHEREAS, Edward Koester was preceded in death by his | ||||||
12 | parents; and his siblings, Anna (Fred) Karner, Joan Torino, and | ||||||
13 | George Koester; and
| ||||||
14 | WHEREAS, Edward Koester is survived by his wife, Jean; his | ||||||
15 | children, Stephen (Barb), John, James (Trudy), Nancy (Mark) | ||||||
16 | Bergeron, Patricia (Tim) Turbak, Carol (Jeff) Lehr, Joseph, and | ||||||
17 | Jennifer (Chris) Riley; his grandchildren, Michael, David, | ||||||
18 | Katie, Emily, Dillon, Matthew, Emma, Maggie, Austin, Julian, | ||||||
19 | Mason, Aiden, Kevin, and Logan; his great-grandchildren, Gage, | ||||||

5 | Edward F. Koester, and we extend our sincere condolences to his | ||||||
6 | family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | ||||||
