| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
| 3 | learn of the death of Robert Elroy Jensen of McHenry, who | ||||||
| 4 | passed away on August 17, 2017; and
| ||||||
| 5 | WHEREAS, Robert Jensen was born in Des Plaines to James and | ||||||
| 6 | Gertrude Jensen on November 7, 1941; he married the love of his | ||||||
| 7 | life, Debra, on December 6, 1991; and
| ||||||
| 8 | WHEREAS, Robert Jensen was a Veteran of the United States | ||||||
| 9 | Army and was honorably discharged; he was employed by Groen | ||||||
| 10 | Manufacturing Company for 48 years; and
| ||||||
| 11 | WHEREAS, Robert Jensen was a founding member of Willow | ||||||
| 12 | Creek Church; he was very involved in the church and often | ||||||
| 13 | mentored young men as they navigated life's ups and downs; he | ||||||
| 14 | was a longtime Alcoholics Anonymous member and was proudly | ||||||
| 15 | sober for 35 years; he loved bikes and once rode up to Mackinac | ||||||
| 16 | Island; he had a tender heart and always put the needs of | ||||||
| 17 | others before his own; and
| ||||||
| 18 | WHEREAS, Robert Jensen was preceded in death by his | ||||||
| 19 | parents; and his siblings, Betty, James, Delores, and Sharon; | ||||||
| 20 | and

| 1 | WHEREAS, Robert Jensen is survived by his loving wife, | ||||||
| 2 | Debra; his children, Robert (Susan) Jensen, Daniel (Debbie) | ||||||
| 3 | Jensen, Elaine (Lee) Williams, Charlee Godfrey, and James Ellis | ||||||
| 4 | II; his grandchildren, Bradly, Lexi, Kolbee, Zechariah, Zoe, | ||||||
| 5 | Kevin, Hailey, Dylan, Abby, Gracie, James, Sarah, Danielle, and | ||||||
| 6 | Robert; his siblings, Marie (Bob) Wagner, Raymond Jensen, | ||||||
| 7 | Richard (Martha) Jensen, and Leslie (Virginia) Jensen; | ||||||

| 9 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL | ||||||
| 10 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
| 11 | Robert Elroy Jensen, and extend our sincere condolences to his | ||||||
| 12 | family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | ||||||
