2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate learned with | ||||||
3 | regret of the death of Michael P. Schostok of Libertyville, who | ||||||
4 | passed away on July 15, 2012; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, He was married to Illinois Appellate Justice Mary | ||||||
6 | Seminara Schostok for 25 years; and
| ||||||
7 | WHEREAS, He was an attorney for the firm of Salvi, | ||||||
8 | Schostok, and Pritchard, based in Chicago and Waukegan, where | ||||||
9 | he practiced personal injury law, specializing in medical | ||||||
10 | malpractice and catastrophic injury matters; he was awarded the | ||||||
11 | prestigious Leonard M. Ring Lifetime Achievement Award from the | ||||||
12 | Illinois Trial Lawyers Association in 2011; and
| ||||||
13 | WHEREAS, He earned his juris doctor degree at Capital | ||||||
14 | University Law School in 1986, a bachelor of science degree | ||||||
15 | from Miami University in 1983, and attended Loyola Academy; and
| ||||||
16 | WHEREAS, He grew up in Riverwoods and was an avid | ||||||
17 | outdoorsman and naturalist all his life; and
| ||||||
18 | WHEREAS, He was preceded in death by his father, Steven | ||||||
19 | Schostok; and

1 | WHEREAS, Michael P. Schostok is survived by his wife, Mary | ||||||
2 | (nee Seminara); his children, Marisa, Gina, and Michael; his | ||||||
3 | mother, Kathleen Kapsa; his siblings, Stephen (Sheila) | ||||||
4 | Schostok, Bradley Schostok, and Katherine (Jonathan) Cunha; | ||||||
5 | his stepmother, Dr. Patricia Schostok Reese; and his nieces and | ||||||
6 | nephews; therefore, be it

7 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL | ||||||
8 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
9 | Michael P. Schostok and we extend our sincere condolences to | ||||||
10 | his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | ||||||
11 | further

12 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
13 | presented to his family as a token of our deepest sympathy.
