2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
3 | learn of the death of Rodney Keith Anderson of Rock Island, who | ||||||
4 | passed away on November 10, 2019; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Rodney Anderson was born in Lynn Center to Sherman | ||||||
6 | and Lorna Bergren Anderson on September 5, 1932; he served in | ||||||
7 | the U.S. Army during the Korean War and married Rhoda J. Leaf | ||||||
8 | at Augustana Lutheran Church in Andover on June 8, 1956; and
| ||||||
9 | WHEREAS, Rodney Anderson retired from Deere and Company, | ||||||
10 | where he had been an engineering technician; he also farmed in | ||||||
11 | Andover, Kansas, and at the Deere experimental farm; and
| ||||||
12 | WHEREAS, Rodney Anderson was a member of First Evangelical | ||||||
13 | Lutheran Church in Rock Island, where he served in many | ||||||
14 | capacities; he also bowled for many years on the church bowling | ||||||
15 | team; and

16 | WHEREAS, Rodney Anderson was preceded in death by his | ||||||
17 | parents; and
| ||||||
18 | WHEREAS, Rodney Anderson is survived by his wife, Rhoda; | ||||||
19 | his children, Keith (Madelyn), Sharon, Miriam, and Dr. Brian | ||||||
20 | Anderson; his grandchildren, Garth (Cara), Britta, Leif, |

1 | Brittany, Kyra, Esther, Nathanael, and Leah; his | ||||||
2 | great-grandson, Barit; his sister, Janice Yohanan; and his | ||||||
3 | brother, Loran Anderson; therefore, be it

4 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL | ||||||
5 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
6 | Rodney Keith Anderson and extend our sincere condolences to his | ||||||
7 | family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | ||||||
8 | further
