| ||||||
| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
| 3 | learn of the death of Fannie Louise Bradley, who passed away on | ||||||
| 4 | November 8, 2013; and
| ||||||
| 5 | WHEREAS, Fannie Bradley was born on September 5, 1941 in | ||||||
| 6 | Dawson, Georgia; her parents were George and Lena Sapp; she | ||||||
| 7 | married Charles White; in 1999, she met and married Herman | ||||||
| 8 | Bradley; and
| ||||||
| 9 | WHEREAS, Fannie Bradley attended the Chicago Public | ||||||
| 10 | Schools for the Deaf and Cooley High School; and
| ||||||
| 11 | WHEREAS, Fannie Bradley accepted and received the Holy | ||||||
| 12 | Ghost in 1967, under the leadership of the late Superintendent | ||||||
| 13 | Glenn Washington at Holy Temple #2 Church of God in Christ; she | ||||||
| 14 | later joined House of Prayer Church of God in Christ under the | ||||||
| 15 | leadership of Pastor Lamont Rutledge, where she served | ||||||
| 16 | faithfully and was called to be a missionary; she later | ||||||
| 17 | relocated to Texas and continued her missionary work assisting | ||||||
| 18 | other ministries, including Pastor Sylvie of Longview, Texas, | ||||||
| 19 | Pastor Horton of Henderson, Texas, Pastor Suthen of Gladewater, | ||||||
| 20 | Texas, and Pastor L. Nelson of Longview, Texas; she | ||||||
| 21 | subsequently relocated to Dallas, Texas, where she served as | ||||||
| 22 | the Church Mother at Push Outreach under the leadership of her | ||||||

| 1 | eldest daughter, Pastor Janice Norwood; and
| ||||||
| 2 | WHEREAS, Fannie Bradley was preceded in death by her | ||||||
| 3 | parents and her sisters, Theoda Murphy and Mary Reynolds; and
| ||||||
| 4 | WHEREAS, Fannie Bradley is survived by her husband, Herman | ||||||
| 5 | Bradley; her brothers, Gregory (Gemma), Eddie, Jr., and Kevin | ||||||
| 6 | Murphy; her sisters, Linda Murphy and Deloris Van Pelt; her | ||||||
| 7 | children, Janice Norwood (Ricky), Lena Nelson (Willie), | ||||||
| 8 | Beverly Rutledge, Anitrius Glover, Steven (Tres) Willie, and | ||||||
| 9 | Darrell and Wayne Glover; her 51 grandchildren; her 44 | ||||||
| 10 | great-grandchildren; and her many nieces, nephews, and | ||||||
| 11 | friends; therefore, be it

| 12 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL | ||||||
| 13 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her | ||||||
| 14 | family and friends, mourn the passing of Fannie Louise Bradley; | ||||||
| 15 | and be it further
| ||||||
| 16 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
| 17 | presented to the family of Fannie Bradley as an expression of | ||||||
| 18 | our sympathy.
