| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
| 3 | learn of the death of
Vern I. McCarthy Jr. of Oak Brook, who | ||||||
| 4 | passed away on February 25, 2010; and
| ||||||
| 5 | WHEREAS, Vern McCarthy Jr. was born on May 12, 1927, in | ||||||
| 6 | Melrose Park; his parents were Vern I. and Vivien (nee Decker) | ||||||
| 7 | McCarthy Sr.; and
| ||||||
| 8 | WHEREAS, Vern McCarthy Jr. is survived by his children, | ||||||
| 9 | Kenton V. McCarthy, Leslie A. (Scott) Miller, and Brian P. | ||||||
| 10 | (Tracy) McCarthy; his grandchildren, Brett, Blake, and Matthew | ||||||
| 11 | Miller and Samantha and Sydney McCarthy; his sister, Rianna | ||||||
| 12 | (Willie) Williams; and his brother-in-law, Richard (Irene) | ||||||
| 13 | Donohoe; therefore, be it

| 14 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL | ||||||
| 15 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with | ||||||
| 16 | his family and friends, the passing of Vern I. McCarthy Jr.; | ||||||
| 17 | and be it further
| ||||||
| 18 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
| 19 | presented to the family of Vern McCarthy Jr. as an expression | ||||||
