SENATE RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
learn of the death of Philip Ambrose Doran, Jr., who passed
away on April 6, 2015; and
WHEREAS, Philip Doran, Jr. was born on November 7, 1966;
his parents were Philip and Mary I. (nee Scanlon) Doran; and
WHEREAS, Philip Doran, Jr. was a graduate of Christ the
King School, St. Ignatius College Prep, and Saint Xavier
University; and
WHEREAS, Philip Doran, Jr. was an exceptional student at
St. Ignatius; he was at the top of his class academically and
was beloved by his classmates; and
WHEREAS, Philip Doran, Jr. was a dedicated employee of the
Cook County Assessor's Office for 19 years; and
WHEREAS, Philip Doran, Jr. was the loving brother of John
(Jennifer) Doran, Ned Doran, Margaret (Jeff) Pezza, and
Elizabeth (Patrick) Sheedy; the loving uncle of Margaux,
Mairead, and Jameson Doran, Luke, Andrew, David, Mary Irene,
and Margaret Pezza, and Charlotte Anne Sheedy; and the dear
nephew and cousin to the Brown, Eiben, Peters, and Scanlan

families; he was embraced and supported with loving arms by the
Christ the King Community, Misericordia, all of his loving
family, and his many devoted friends; therefore, be it
RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his
family and friends, mourn the passing of Philip Ambrose Doran,
Jr.; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
presented to the family of Philip Doran, Jr. as an expression
of our sympathy.
