2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
3 | learn of the death of Michael S. Meyer of Springfield, who | ||||||
4 | passed away on September 10, 2013; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Michael Meyer was born on April 29, 1983 in | ||||||
6 | Springfield; his mother was Patricia Meyer; and
| ||||||
7 | WHEREAS, Michael Meyer attended Lanphier High School in | ||||||
8 | Springfield; and
| ||||||
9 | WHEREAS, Michael Meyer was a graduate of the United States | ||||||
10 | Army Airborne and Army Air Assault School and served his | ||||||
11 | country as a member of the Army National Guard; and
| ||||||
12 | WHEREAS, Michael Meyer was a member of the American Legion | ||||||
13 | Post # 32; he enjoyed playing with his son, nieces, and nephews | ||||||
14 | and was an avid fan of the New York Yankees; and
| ||||||
15 | WHEREAS, Michael Meyer was preceded in death by his | ||||||
16 | grandparents, John and Wilma Meyer, and his uncle, John Meyer; | ||||||
17 | and

18 | WHEREAS, Michael Meyer is survived by his mother, Patricia | ||||||
19 | Meyer; his son, Jackson Knox-Meyer; his siblings, Amy (Jamie) |

1 | Kavanagh, Stacey (Ray) Bishop, Jaela (fiance, Butch) Newbold, | ||||||
2 | Joshua (fiancee, Samantha) Meyer, and John Meyer; and his many | ||||||

4 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL | ||||||
5 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his | ||||||
6 | family and friends, mourn the passing of Michael S. Meyer; and | ||||||
