SENATE RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
learn of the death of Richard F. Balla of St. Charles, who
passed away on January 31, 2012; and
WHEREAS, Richard Balla was born on October 11, 1937, in
Chicago; his parents were Frank and Louise Balla; and
WHEREAS, Richard Balla was raised in Cicero; he served his
country as a member of the United States Air Force; and
WHEREAS, Richard Balla was the former vice president of
Fischer Imaging Corporation and Trex Medical; and
WHEREAS, Richard Balla was active in his community as a
volunteer at St. Patrick's Catholic Church; he was also a
former Republican committeeman in St. Charles and worked at the
Pottawatomie Golf Course; and
WHEREAS, Richard Balla was preceded in death by his
parents; and
WHEREAS, Richard Balla is survived by his beloved wife,
Marie; his children, Christine (Steve) Young, Pamela (David)
Dibblee, Richard, Jr., and Jennifer; his grandchildren, Devyn

and Caroline Young; his brother, Thomas (Mary Carol); his
sister, Fran; his sister-in-law, Clare Gajewski; his
brother-in-law, Matt Gajewski; his nieces; his nephew; and his
many cousins and friends; therefore, be it
RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL
ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with
his family and friends, the passing of Richard F. Balla; and be
it further
RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
presented to the family of Richard Balla as an expression of
our sympathy.
