2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened | ||||||
3 | to learn of the death of Geraldine Mae "Jer" Haagenson, who | ||||||
4 | passed away on October 31, 2020 at the age of 85; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Jer Haagenson was born to Peter F. Waytula and | ||||||
6 | Eleanor V. (Tully) Waytula on April 30, 1935; and
| ||||||
7 | WHEREAS, Jer Haagenson married Robert "Bob" G. Haagenson | ||||||
8 | in 1960; and
| ||||||
9 | WHEREAS, Jer Haagenson lived in River Forest for most of | ||||||
10 | her adult life and resided in Stuart, Florida for several | ||||||
11 | years as well; and
| ||||||
12 | WHEREAS, Jer Haagenson was an avid tennis player; and
| ||||||
13 | WHEREAS, Jer Haagenson regularly attended Mass at both St. | ||||||
14 | Giles and St. Luke parishes; and
| ||||||
15 | WHEREAS, Jer Haagenson was preceded in death by her | ||||||
16 | parents; her husband; her siblings, Beverly (George) Linsner | ||||||
17 | and Ronald (Bette) Waytula; and her daughter, Jill; and
| ||||||
18 | WHEREAS, At the time of her death, Jer Haagenson was |

1 | survived by her son, John R. Haagenson; her grandchildren, | ||||||
2 | Nate and Gabe Kennedy and Katie, Bobby, and Jack Haagenson; | ||||||
3 | her nieces and nephews; and her friends; therefore, be it

4 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL | ||||||
5 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
6 | Geraldine Mae "Jer" Haagenson and extend our sincere | ||||||
7 | condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved | ||||||
8 | her; and be it further

9 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
10 | presented to the family of Jer Haagenson as an expression of | ||||||
